New Gallery Pages Thanks to Flickr and FAlbum!

[Michael, Nicolas’s son writing…]

Hooray!  We had hoped to find a simple, clean, and aesthetic way to display my dad’s art on this website by the end of the year…and it looks like we found one.  If you visit “www.nbouteneff.com” now, you’ll be taken directly to a listing of galleries pulled from his Flickr account.  Nice!

How did we do it?  We used the Wordpress plugin called “Falbum“, which was easy to install and synchronize with his Flickr account.  We’ll probably stop using his Photobucket account; Flickr enables plugins, APIs, visitor comments, viewing stats, and all sorts of techie goodies.  I’d highly recommend using the Flickr and FAlbum comobo for image presentation.

Now we just need to clean up and re-organize my dad’s Flickr account…

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

My new slide show

[UPDATE FROM MIKE:  We’ve removed the links below, since Nicolas is no longer using Photobucket.com to store his images.  We’re now using Flickr.com.  You can check out his work on this site (www.NBouteneff.com), or at his Flickr account:  Variag’s Photos.  Enjoy!]

You can see a slide show of my artwork albums on Photobucket here: - the Gallery - the Drawings - the Plein Air Album - Water Colors.

My first blog post

Hello world!

I am taking my first stab at blogging. I am excited to share my adventures while painting in oils, acrylics, and water colors.
